The Mayor of Arrecife, Astrid Pérez, spoke at the inauguration of the island’s newest shopping centre last Thursday.

“The new shopping centre creates 500 new jobs and turns Arrecife into the epicentre of the island’s commercial development”, stated the mayor.
“We have been the first government to commit to the approval of commercial licenses, which will improve the capital’s appeal and generate employment.”.
“Arrecife needed a revolution, and this new shopping centre will also help citizens to consume in the capital, creating a space not only for shopping but also for the families to stroll and enjoy.”.
The new Open Mall opened officially last Friday and is home to a host of new shops to the island, as well as shops that you can expect to find in C.C. Biosfera and Deiland.
