A passenger on board a Binter flight from Gran Canaria to La Palma was saved by flight attendants after suffering from a sudden cardiac arrest mid-flight.
The passenger began suffering from chest pains shortly after the Binter flight took off from Gran Canaria. The flight attendants became aware of the problem and assisted the passenger, using a defibrillator on board.
The plane returned to the airport where emergency services were waiting on the ground. Thanks to their first aid training, the flight attendants played an important part in saving the passenger’s life as ambulance staff boarded the plane.
The passenger was taken into an ambulance by staff and later transported to a nearby hospital.
