The Lanzarote Data Centre have just released tourism figures for September this year.

The Centro de Datos is a great source for all things Lanzarote data, and they have just published September 2022’s tourism numbers.

Businesses felt that the island has calmed down in recent weeks, and the data backs it up. September saw a 16% decrease in the total amount of tourists compared to August. However, September 2022’s total figure is just 1.5% less than that of September 2019.

The tourist figures for September 2022 are as follows:

Spain – 36,340

Germany – 14,558

Belgium – 3,483,

France – 12,537

Netherlands – 25,603

Ireland – 8,901

Italy – 5,680

Nordic Countries – 3,175

United Kingdom – 113,170

Other – 8,536

TOTAL – 231,983

September 2019 figures in comparison with September 2022 figures:

Spain – 31,247 (14% less than in September 22′)

Germany – 20,638 (41% more than in September 22′)

Belgium – 4,164 (19% more than in September 22′)

France – 8,563 (31% less than in September 22′)

Netherlands – 5,912 (76% less than in September 22′)

Ireland – 29,246 (228% more than in September 22′)

Italy – 4,525 (20% less than in September 22′)

Nordic Countries – 2,193 (30% less than in September 22′)

United Kingdom – 118,462 (4.6% more than in September 22′)

Other – 10,585 (24% more than in September 22′)

TOTAL – 235,534
