Lanzarote’s towns will be busy celebrating Halloween and the Noche de los Finaos today.
In Playa Blanca, there’ll be workshops and drumming in the Plaza de Santa Elena and a Halloween parade at 5.30 pm, ending with a visit to the Haunted House.
There’ll also be a parade and Haunted House in Tías, where activities will take place in the Plaza El Pavón and the Plaza de San Antonio.
San Bartolomé and Playa Honda will also host parades from 5 pm onwards, with another Haunted House at Playa Honda’s Civic Centre.
Costa Teguise will stage musical storytelling and a kids parade from 6.30 pm at the amphitheatre on Playa de las Cucharas. This will be followed by a Rolling Stones tribute concert at 8.30pm.
A spooky play called Los Finaos (The Dead) will take place at 8pm in the central square of La Villa de Teguise.
In Arrecife, the Youth Centre near the Cruz Roja will be transformed into a post-apocalyptic nuclear landscape as it hosts the Japan Horror Fest. There’ll also be several other events around the centre of the capital.

Tomorrow, All Saints Day, will be a public holiday in Spain, meaning that many shops outside the resorts are likely to be closed.
