A Jet2 flight from Glasgow to Lanzarote was forced to make an unscheduled stop in Portugal on July 16 after a passenger suffered a medical emergency during the journey.
Flight LS167 departed Glasgow at 3:17pm. and had been due to arrive at Lanzarote Airport at approximately 7:50pm. However, the aircraft was diverted to Faro after cabin crew alerted the flight deck that a passenger required urgent medical assistance.
According to GlasgowLive, the pilots requested permission to divert to the nearest suitable airport, allowing emergency medical services to meet the aircraft on arrival in Faro.
Once the affected passenger had received medical attention, the flight resumed its journey to Lanzarote. The aircraft later landed safely at its original destination without any further issues.
