Arrecife confirms pricing for forthcoming e-bike hire scheme

Arrecife will charge a rate of €5 an hour for the use of its forthcoming e-bike service.

Charging points have been in place for several months, but the bicycles themselves are yet to arrive. However, when they do, the council has released details of charges for use of the bikes.

Basic one-off charges will be €2.50 for 30 minutes or €5 per hour, while an annual pass will cost €36.

Monthly passes for €6, quarterly passes for €16 and a €15 short-term pass for tourists who are in the capital for a few days are also included in the tariff. Reduced rates will be available for young people, the unemployed, pensioners and the disabled.

There are nine deposit/charging points for the bikes dotted throughout the capital.
