71 migrants rescued from inflatable boat off Lanzarote

61 men and 10 women, one of whom was pregnant, were picked up by a maritime rescue vessel and taken to Puerto Naos in Arrecife yesterday.

The inflatable boat carrying the migrants was reported at 11.15 am and, at first, could not be localised. Finally, a rescue plane spotted it and the Al Nair rescue vessel picked up the people on board.

According to sources, the inflatable left the Moroccan coast near the town of Tan-Tan two days ago.
