Three-year-old child drowns in swimming pool at Tinajo holiday rental

A three-year-old child has drowned in a swimming pool in a holiday rental property in Tinajo.

The incident took place on Wednesday 23rd September, and Tinajo local police agents who were first on the scene attempted to resuscitate the child. Canarian Health Service paramedics took over and briefly managed to restore vital signs but were unable to prevent the death of the child.

It is the fourth pool-related death of a child on Lanzarote this year so far.  The three other drownings occurred in pools located on hotel complexes.
