Spanish pop star Malú brought the Los Dolores celebrations to a close on Tuesday with a concert in Mancha Blanca, rounding off this year’s celebrations with a performance that drew together residents and visitors for the festival’s final night.

The singer took to the stage, performing songs spanning different stages of her career, including tracks that have become part of the musical memory of several generations. The live show featured the vocal performances and emotional connection with the audience that have characterised her career.

Cabildo president Oswaldo Betancort said the festival continues to be one of the island’s most important annual gatherings.

“Los Dolores once again prove that they are one of Lanzarote’s major gathering places. They represent tradition, identity, and devotion, but also culture and music. Being able to close this year’s festival with an artist of Malú’s stature and power has been a magnificent finale to a festival that we feel is our own throughout the island.”

Over several days, the Los Dolores Festival transformed Mancha Blanca into a meeting place for Lanzarote residents and visitors, combining tradition, crafts, folklore, devotion, and music in one of the island’s longest-established celebrations.
