The village of Uga will once again become the centre of Lanzarote’s wine culture this weekend as it hosts the 2026 Wine Festival, bringing together 17 of the island’s wineries for two days of wine tasting, gastronomy, music and traditional celebrations.

Taking place on 13th and 14th June, the event has become one of Lanzarote’s leading showcases for its wine industry, offering both residents and visitors the chance to explore a sector that is deeply connected to the island’s history, landscape and cultural identity.

Samuel Martín, councillor for Landscape and Food Sovereignty, highlighted the importance of the festival, describing it as an opportunity to discover the work carried out by the island’s winegrowers and winemakers.

“The Wine Festival is an invitation to get a closer look at the efforts of our winegrowers and winemakers, who are the true guardians of a landscape that has made Lanzarote a worldwide example of adaptation to volcanic terrain,” he said.

Throughout the two-day event, visitors to the Uga fairgrounds will be able to sample wines produced under the Vinos de Lanzarote Designation of Origin, alongside a range of local food offerings designed to showcase the quality and diversity of the island’s produce.

The wineries participating this year are Bermejo, Olivina, Guiguan, El Grifo, Titerroy-Akaet, La Florida, Vulcano, Fiquinineo, Aura, Entre Latidos, Martinón, Tierra de Volcanes, Vega de Yuco, Rubicón, Altjay, Erupción and La Geria.

Together, they will present a broad representation of Lanzarote’s wine production, highlighting the different techniques and styles that define the island’s wines.

In addition to tastings and food stalls, the festival programme will include live musical performances across both days, creating a festive atmosphere for visitors while celebrating one of Lanzarote’s most distinctive agricultural traditions.

Entry to the festival is free and open to all.
