More than 5,000 people attended Lanzarote’s Book Fair in Arrecife last weekend, an event that has been hailed as a huge success by organisers.
There was a civilized buzz at the fair, as visitors browsed the stalls set up by local publishers and bookshops, children took part in activities and authors signed copies of their latest works.
Long queues waited to receive signed books by Maximo Huerta, who was promoting his novel about Alzheimers’ “Mama Esta Dormida” and Elizabet Benavent, author of the romance “Una Niña Buena”.
