New Tahiche – Arrecife road planned

Lanzarote’s Cabildo has announced that a new road will be built connecting Arrecife with Tahiche.

The road will provide a direct route to Tahiche from Maneje, the zone north of the main ring road where new housing projects are currently being constructed. It will also improve access to the cemetery, Arrecife’s recycling point and the Argana shopping zone

Previously, motorists wishing to get to Tahiche from Maneje have had to drive into the barrio of Altavista and go round two busy roundabouts. 

Plans for the road are not yet published, but it will have to take into account the impressive tongue of volcanic lava that runs between Arrecife and Tahiche.
