Spain’s bank holidays can be confusing, with some applying to the entire nation while others only apply to local municipalities. Here are the bank holidays for December 2025.
On most holidays, public buildings, banks and many smaller shops and businesses will be closed. However, larger shopping centres, supermarkets and several businesses in the resorts will open as usual.
On national holidays, lower (weekend) electricity tariffs apply.
This month’s holidays are as follows:
December 6th: Constitution Day. A national holiday
December 8th: Day of the Immaculate Conception. A national holiday.
December 25th: Christmas Day. A national holiday
