80-year-old man dies in Los Cocoteros

An 80-year-old man died yesterday evening, after falling into the sea while fishing at a beach in Los Cocoteros in the north of the island.

According to reports, the 80-year-old man had fallen into the sea while fishing at a small beach, in Los Cocoteros, and was unable to get out of the water.

At approximately 7:30pm yesterday evening, the emergency services arrived at the scene to perform resuscitation manoeuvres after finding that the 80-year-old was suffering a cardiorespiratory arrest.

Despite efforts to resuscitate the 80-year-old, the medical team could not save his life and later declared his death at the scene.
