The Lanzarote Wine Run will return on June 16th, the Cabildo has announced. Registration is open now and can be completed online.
The event, which celebrated Lanzarote’s wine country with various runs and walks, in an atmosphere that was as social as it was competitive, was first developed by Kenneth Gasque in 2009, before island authorities later took over its running.
In 2020 the event was cancelled due to the Covid pandemic and has not returned since.
Organised jointly with the Consejo Regulador de la Denominación de Origen Vinos de Lanzarote and the Yaiza Ayuntamiento, with the collaboration of Club La Santa, the event will be held on Sunday, June 16th and will consist of a 12-kilometer walk, a short run of the same distance and a 23-kilometre run.
You can register now at their website: www.lanzarotewinerun.com/en/wine-run-english/.
