Teenager hit by car dies

The 14-year-old that was hit by a car over the weekend has tragically passed away in hospital after sustaining serious injuries.

Last Saturday at approximately 7:30pm, the emergency services were alerted to an accident on the road between Arrecife and San Bartolomé.

Upon arrival they found that a 14-year-old boy had been hit by a car and suffered serious injuries. He was stabilised by ambulance staff before being rushed to the Dr José Molina Orosa hospital in Arrecife.

This afternoon La Voz reported that he has tragically passed away in hospital.
