Haría Ayuntamiento announced the closure of the rock pools at Punta Mujeres yesterday after sewage spilled into them.
Haría mayor, Alfredo Villalba, and the health councillor, Marcos Lemes, visited the area to check the state of the coastline and the source of the swage spillage.
Villalba stated yesterday that “the bathing ban will remain active until normality is restored and the authorities analyse the state of the water and secure the leak to ensure safety of bathers.”.
