A man is in critical condition after suffering a cardiac arrest at playa de El Reducto in Arrecife.
At approximately 11am yesterday morning, the lifeguards at playa de El Reducto spotted the young man suffering in the water and quickly pulled him to the beach.
The lifeguards began performing resuscitation manoeuvres as the emergency services were alerted. Upon arrival, the ambulance staff and two staff from the Centro de Salude de Valterra took over and managed to resuscitate him.
He was taken to the Dr Jose Molina Orosa hospital in Arrecife.
