The Teguise Ayuntamiento have put out to tender a project valued at 200,000 euros which will include increasing the safety and efficiency of traffic in the municipality. Additionally, there will be new speed bumps in Costa Teguise.
The company awarded with the contract will carry out road marking repainting as well as the repair and replacement of signage that has deteriorated or can no longer be read clearly.
Interested companies will have a total budget of 200,000 euros and the deadline for submitting bids will be December 27th, at 23:59.
“During the last two years this service has been carried out, with very satisfactory results”, stated the Mayor of Teguise, Oswaldo Betancort, “however, the volume of work on the rest of the roads that need the service is much greater. Many of them have serious issues regarding signage and road markings, mainly in the villages, especially in the coastal villages such as Los Cocoteros, which is why we will continue to service through a specialised company.”.
“This phase will also include the installation of speed bumps in Costa Teguise, with the aim of improving traffic safety”, added the Teguise Roads & Works Councillor, Eugenio Robayna.
