The Lanzarote Cabildo have organised a special bus service for the San Juan Bautista fiesta in Arrieta this weekend.

The Cabildo Transport Minister, Marcos Bergaz has announced that “in the early hours of the 30th and 31st of July, a special service will be set up to return citizens safely from the fiestas, once again we remind you that: if you drink, don’t drive.”.

Last week, traffic police stopped numerous cars leaving the Noche Blanca fiestas and conducted breathalyser tests.

“In order for the Lanzaroteños and Lanzaroteñas to enjoy the fiestas on the island, we are providing the lines that are necessary to cover the later journeys”, said Bergaz.

The fare for the new lines will remain the same as the current ones.

On both the 30th and 31st the Line 7 bus will depart at 4:15am from the Parada de Arrieta. The route will be: Arrieta – Tabayesco – Mala Abajo – Mala Correos – Centro Salud Mala – Jardín de Cactus – Plaza de Guatiza – Cruce el Mojón – Teseguite Abajo – Iglesia de Teseguite – Centro Salud Teguise – Ayuntamiento Teguise – Nazaret – Las Cabreras – Tahiche – Cruce César Manrique – Tahiche Bajo – El Jamonal – Altavista – Andenes de la Estación de Guaguas.
