According to AEMET reports Lanzarote could experience 7 days of rain starting from today, as you’ve probably already seen and heard.
AEMET reports that there will be rain and thunder today. The long and thunderous roars have already been heard at our office in Tías as heavy downpours started at 9am.
There’s will be a day’s break in the rain, tomorrow, when the only forecast rain will be between the hours of midnight and 6am on Thursday, however, it’ll still be a fairly cool day as you can imagine.
Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday and Tuesday all have rain forecast at the time of writing, which could be subject to change as week progresses and we will keep you up-to-date with the current forecast.
Many residents and tourists feel that this may be the worst weather we’ve experienced, at the start of the year, in a long time. From unending calimas both hot and cold, to frequent showers. What do you think? Have you seen a start to the year similar to this before on Lanzarote?
Heavy rain is fantastic for the islands flora, which often turns the island green for a couple weeks. However, the rain isn’t helpful for those that have just dusted their house and cleaned their windows after the last calima!
