Yoel de Paz and Anya Lamprecht win Famara Total Trail

The 11th Famara Total got underway with the Night Vertical, bringing runners, music and spectators together between Caleta de Famara and Las Nieves.

Yoel de Paz Baeza and Anya Lamprecht Alfonso took the men’s and women’s titles respectively as the 11th Famara Total began with its traditional Night Vertical in Lanzarote.

The evening started with bib distribution at the pier, where DJ Chipi entertained participants and spectators before the race got underway. The starting gun sounded at 9:00 p.m., first for the pairs and then in staggered waves for individual runners.

With some wind but pleasant temperatures, competitors tackled the demanding climb towards Las Nieves. Fog appeared at times at higher elevations, adding to the atmosphere as runners made their way to the finish.

In the men’s category, Yoel de Paz Baeza (Wild Trail Project) lived up to his status as the favourite. Starting at 10:01 p.m., he completed the course in 34:36.

Rayco Hernández Morales (Volcán Run Training) finished second in 38:48, while Pablo Matías González (C.D. Rempujo) took third place with a time of 40:53.

Anya Lamprecht Alfonso (CD Latitud 29º) won the women’s division in 49:13. Her time also saw her finish tenth overall.

Estefanía Pérez Rodríguez (CD Latitud 29) was second in 1:00:34, followed by Melisa Campuzano Torres in third with 1:03:50.

The men’s pairs title went to Pingüirunner, made up of Samuel Lariño Fernández and Samuel Rodríguez Mejías.

In the women’s category, Pitaya, consisting of Támara Manchado Armas and María del Pilar Brito Cabrera, claimed victory. Stone Islands, formed by Javier Sánchez Peña and Auxibel Vega Rodríguez, won the mixed pairs category.
