Property prices have risen by more than 23% in the municipality of Yaiza in the last year, according to Lanzarote’s Statistics Centre.
Yaiza, which contains Playa Blanca, has seen the highest rises on the island, while the lowest price rises are 2.6% in San Bartolomé, whose main centre of population is Playa Honda.
The resort municipalities occupy three of the top four places, with price rises of 15.1% and 10.6% in Tías and Teguise respectively. Somewhat surprisingly, Haría outperformed both these areas, with prices rising by 18.6%.
The other two municipalities are Arrecife, where prices rose by 9.3% and Tinajo, at 5.8%. Arrecife is the only area where property prices have not yet recovered to exceed pre-pandemic levels
The price rise register is based on the average price of a square metre of property in sold properties.
