A Vueling flight from Malaga to Tenerife was forced to make an emergency diversion to Lanzarote this Thursday due to six disruptive passengers.

The flight, operated by Vueling, departed from Malaga on the morning of March 5th with an intended destination of Tenerife. However, the journey was interrupted mid-transit when cabin crew reported serious issues with six individuals on board.

According to air traffic control communications, the passengers were described as being “conflictive,” with their actions escalating to a point that compromised the comfort and the safety of those on board. The flight crew made the decision to request immediate police intervention upon landing.

The pilot opted to divert from the original flight path. The aircraft was rerouted to Lanzarote Airport, as it was the nearest and most suitable alternative for an emergency landing.

Upon landing at the airport, the aircraft was met by authorities, with the Guardia Civil removing the six individuals involved.
