Lanzarote will be buzzing tomorrow morning as Spain take on England’s Lionesses in the final of the Women’s World Cup, which will kick-off in Sydney, Australia tomorrow morning, at 11 am in the Canaries and the UK. The match will be broadcast live and free-to-view on La 1 in Spain and BBC1 in the UK.
The final will also be shown live on a giant screen on Playa del Reducto in Arrecife, with entertainment starting from 10am onwards.
Girls and women are an important element of Lanzarote’s football clubs, in all-female teams or mixed elevens, and regardless of which team wins, the huge success of this years Women’s World Cup has been a huge boost for the female game.
