The escalator between the lower and upper floors of Arrecife Airport’s Terminal 1 building has been repaired and is now functioning normally after several weeks out of service.
Work is also being carried out to repair the lift inside the terminal building. In the meantime, passengers with heavy luggage or wheelchairs will still have to use the other lift in the car-parking area.
Meanwhile, buses are avoiding the designated parking area at the airport after AENA introduced charges of €4 per hour. Some buses have been reported as waiting for 50 minutes, then circling round to park again in order to avoid the charges.
