Saborea Lanzarote is bringing an ambitious programme of tastings, workshops and local product promotion to FEAGA 2026.
An agricultural market, livestock exhibition, tastings, talks, contests, live music, sports demonstrations and new attractions make FEAGA the ideal meeting place for professionals, institutions and the general public. Lanzarote and La Graciosa are sending a large delegation comprising producers, companies, chefs, winemakers, artisans and institutional representatives, in addition to dozens of residents from Lanzarote and La Graciosa who have travelled to the neighbouring island. They will be joined over the weekend by many other visitors from Lanzarote and the rest of the Canary Islands.
The president of the Lanzarote Cabildo and Minister of Agriculture and Livestock, Oswaldo Betancort, emphasised that “FEAGA embodies the development model we advocate: respect for the countryside, support for our producers, innovation, tradition, and the ability to drive economic growth.” Betancort stated that “Lanzarote is here to continue building bridges with the rest of the Canary Islands through local products and culinary excellence.”
The Vice President of the Cabildo, María Jesús Tovar, maintained that the presence of Lanzarote and La Graciosa at FEAGA “is essential for our primary sector. Our islands are, without a doubt, historical leaders in the primary sector, and not only in the past but also among our youth, as many are dedicated to this vital industry.” Additionally, Tovar, who also serves as the councillor for Planning and Project Coordination, noted that funding from the EU Next Generation Funds has ensured our islands’ participation in this major trade fair.
For her part, the Minister of Economic Development, Nori Machín, stated that “Saborea Lanzarote continues to consolidate a serious and consistent strategy of maintaining a presence at the main forums where regional development, food, culinary tourism, and marketing are discussed. We’ve come to FEAGA with a very powerful, dynamic, and participatory proposal, where visitors can taste, learn about, and connect with the authenticity of Lanzarote,” she said.
