Lanzarote’s Cabildo has announced various road closures that will take place in the centre of the island to ensure the safety of pilgrims heading to Mancha Blanca for the fiestas of Los Dolores this weekend.
Closures will take place on the following roads at the following times.
LZ-20 (Arrecife – Tinajo): Towards Arrecife, from the Mozaga roundabout to the Monumento roundabout, from midnight to 10 pm on Saturday, September 12. Traffic will be diverted through the village of Mozaga.
LZ-30 (Teguise – Uga): Section between Monumento roundabout and Calle Calderetas: Total closure in both directions from 8 am to 10 pm on September 12.
Section between Calle Calderetas and the La Florida junction: Total closure in both directions from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm on September 12; traffic will be diverted via Montaña Blanca.
LZ-46 (Tiagua – Mancha Blanca): Total closure in both directions from 10 am on Saturday, September 12, until 6 am on Sunday, September 13.
LZ-56 (Mancha Blanca – La Geria): Total closure in both directions from 8 am on September 12 until 06:00 on September 13. This road will be the only corridor exclusively authorized for public transport vehicles.
LZ-58 (Masdache – La Vegueta): Total closure in both directions near the Peñón area from 08 am on September 12 until 6 am on September 13.
LZ-67 (La Santa – Yaiza): Total closure in both directions between the Tinajo hardware store and Calle Chimanfaya from 3 pm to 11 pm on Saturday, September 12.
LZ-409 (Mozaga – La Vegueta): Total closure in both directions from 8 am on September 12 until 6 am on September 13.
