Playa Blanca Celebrates Patron Saint with Two Weeks of Festivities

Playa Blanca is preparing to celebrate its annual patron saint festivities in honour of Nuestra Señora la Virgen del Carmen, with a packed programme of cultural, sporting and family-friendly events running from 10 to 25 July.

The celebrations will once again showcase the town’s seafaring traditions, community spirit and hospitality, with live music, folklore, workshops, sporting competitions, religious ceremonies and entertainment for all ages.

Friday, July 10

5:00 p.m. Skateboarding workshop at the Mediterráneo Park.

8:00 p.m. Raffle and start of the ENVITE tournament at the ventorrillos.

Followed by a performance by the Gurfines Son del Puerto band.

10:00 p.m. Youth Night with El Mesie and DJs Elvis, Javi Fajardo, and Pedro Morales.

Saturday, July 11

11:30 a.m. Performance: “Los Desiguales Present the Show of the Decades” and foam party in Plaza del Carmen.

Starting at 3:30 p.m.: Final of the Latin Sail Cup.

7:00 p.m. Lapas-playing workshop at the La Aurora Center.
