Lanzarote is on a yellow alert for high winds and an orange alert for rough seas today, as the effects of Storm Francis continue to affect the Canaries.
Alerts will be withdrawn at 8 pm tonight and, so far, none have been issued for tomorrow, when wind are forecast to be much less strong.
The island has already experienced rain and high winds, with a gust of 80 kph registered in Orzola yesterday. Rain is predicted to continue until Tuesday, with an improvement in weather forecast later in the week.
