Jet2 Launches Biggest-Ever Winter Sun Programme with Lanzarote Flights on Sale for Winter 2027/28

Jet2 has announced its largest-ever Winter Sun programme, with flights and package holidays to Lanzarote now on sale for Winter 2027/28.

The UK airline and tour operator has released almost 4.5 million seats across its network, becoming one of the first major travel companies to put its Winter 2027/28 programme on sale. The move comes in response to strong demand from British holidaymakers looking to secure sunshine breaks well in advance.

The Canary Islands remain a key part of the programme, with flights available to Lanzarote, Tenerife, Gran Canaria, Fuerteventura and La Palma from Jet2’s 14 UK airport bases.

Lanzarote available from all 14 UK bases

Lanzarote features prominently in the new schedule, with services available from Belfast International, Birmingham, Bournemouth, Bristol, East Midlands, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Leeds Bradford, Liverpool John Lennon, London Gatwick, London Luton, Manchester, Newcastle International and London Stansted airports.

The island continues to be one of Jet2’s most popular winter destinations, offering year-round sunshine, warm temperatures and a wide range of resorts that appeal to families, couples and winter escape seekers alike.

Strong Canary Islands offering

Alongside Lanzarote, Jet2’s Winter 2027/28 programme includes extensive services to Tenerife, Gran Canaria and Fuerteventura from all 14 UK bases.

La Palma is also included in the programme, with flights available from Manchester and London Stansted, providing additional choice for travellers looking to explore one of the Canary Islands’ less-visited destinations.

In total, the Canary Islands account for five of the 17 winter sun destinations available through Jet2’s latest programme, underlining the archipelago’s continued importance to the UK holiday market.

Demand for winter sunshine remains strong

Announcing the launch, Jet2 CEO Steve Heapy said the programme had been designed in direct response to customer demand.

“Our winter sun programme for 2027/28 is on sale nice and early, and we are very pleased to be giving customers and independent travel agents fantastic choice and flexibility. The launch of our biggest ever winter sun programme gives customers from across all 14 of our UK airport bases huge choice.”

The early release gives travellers planning a winter escape to Lanzarote and the Canary Islands the opportunity to secure flights and package holidays more than a year in advance.

With millions of seats now available and the Canary Islands once again forming the backbone of Jet2’s winter offering, the announcement is expected to provide a further boost to visitor numbers from the UK, Lanzarote’s largest tourism market.
