It might just be coming home…

It’s all shaping up well for an England vs Spain World Cup final on the 19^th July.

To reach the final, England have the simple task of sinking the Norwegian Viking longboat before going on to defeat the world champions Argentina or Switzerland. All Spain have to do is beat Belgium on Friday, then defeat France or Morocco to secure their date with destiny against the Three Lions in New Jersey.

For England it will be a chance to end the 60 years of hurt since their 1966 victory, while Spain have the chance to end 16 years of hurt (or two if you count the Euros, where they beat England 2-1 in the 2024 final).

A Spain- England final will, of course, cause huge excitement on Lanzarote, with large screens likely to be set up for public viewing. Having said all this, it’ll probably be Switzerland vs Belgium.

Fri 10^th July, 8 pm: Spain vs Belgium

Sat 11^th July, 10pm: England vs Norway

Tuesday 14^th July, 8 pm: First semi-final

Wednesday 15^th July, 8pm: Second semi-final

Sunday 19^th July, 8pm: Final
