The Guardia Civil are investigating the death of a four-year-old British girl who drowned at a hotel complex in Playa Blanca, according to report by La Voz de Lanzarote.
An investigation has been opened to establish the circumstances surrounding the tragedy, which occurred on last Saturday, June 20th.
A call was made to the emergency services at around 1.30 pm, with two ambulances and a helicopter being dispatched.
A nurse in the dispatch room also gave instructions as the lifesaver attempted to resuscitate the child. However, their attempts were unsuccessful.
