Firefighters extinguish rubbish bin fires in Arrecife

Firefighters were called to extinguish a series of fires involving several rubbish containers in Arrecife during the early hours of this morning.

The first incident was reported at approximately 3am on Calle Fayna, where an organice waste container had caught fire. Crews brought the flames under control using a combination of water and foam. A unit of the Local Police was present at the scene.

Just minutes later, the emergency services received another alert about another fire on Calle Tilama. Upon arrival, firefighters discovered an organic waste bin on fire and proceeded to extinguish the fire using a water spray.

Local Police officers also attended the second incident and provided assistance to the firefighting efforts.
