Today will see millions of people vote throughout Spain in the local and regional elections.
Polling stations opened at 9am and will remain open until 8pm. The address of your local polling station should have been sent to your home on the Tarjeta Censal (Voting Card).
British and EU citizens only have the right to vote in municipal (Council) elections and should look out for the lists and envelopes that are coloured WHITE. Place your preferred list in the correct envelope (you may have received both these in the mail but they will be available at the polling station, too), and go to the table where votes are taken. Don’t forget to take ID – your TIE card, passport or driving licence as ID
Results for councils will start to come in at around 10 pm tonight and full results should be ready by tomorrow morning.
