A man and a woman have been arrested after assaulting an officer in Arrecife last Sunday.
The incident took place at approximately 10pm on Calle Cienfuegos in Arrecife. Police were called to the street after reports of someone blocking the road – upon arrival they found the man under a car and refusing to move.
After some time, the police managed to bring the man to his feet and out of the way of traffic. However, while doing so, a woman assaulted one of the agents by kicking and punching them.
The pair, believed to be a couple, were both arrested and are now awaiting the following legal proceedings.
