57-year-old airlifted from La Graciosa following beach fall

A 57-year-old woman required an airlift to hospital on Friday afternoon after suffering a serious fall on La Graciosa.

The incident occurred at approximately 3:30 p.m. on Playa de La Cocina.

Emergency services located the woman, who showed clear signs of injury. After an initial assessment, the team stabilised the affected limb while awaiting the arrival of paramedics.

An emergency helicopter later landed in the area and airlifted the victim directly to the Dr Jose Molina Orosa hospital in Arrecife.

Local Police assisted in securing the area for the helicopter’s landing and takeoff manoeuvres in Arrecife.
