€5 million renovation planned for main road between Arrecife and Costa Teguise

A €5 million tender has been issued for the renovation of the LZ-18 (Avenida de las Palmeras) main road connecting Arrecife and Costa Teguise.

The road has become increasingly worn in recent years, with several potholes and bumps caused by the roots of palm trees. The renovation project will involve resurfacing the road completely, as well as levelling the carriageways in each direction.

Signage and road marking will also be improved, and the project includes stretches of pavement and gardening and irrigation facilities, presumably for the palms that line the road at the approach to Costa Teguise

Bids will be accepted unto 24^th November, and the winning company will have seven months to complete the project.
