Outrageously Funny and Unashamedly Fabulous: The Night Out Puerto del Carmen Has Been Waiting For

Looking for something different to do on your Lanzarote winter holiday? Guapatini’s Showbar serves up outrageous comedy, live singing, drag glamour and enough sequins to make your suitcase feel seriously underdressed.

For holidaymakers in Puerto del Carmen looking for something beyond the usual bar crawl, one venue is offering a night of outrageous laughs, spectacular costumes and live entertainment with a distinctly fabulous twist.

Welcome to Guapatini’s Showbar, where the drinks come to the table, the comedy comes thick and fast, and keeping a straight face is very much your own responsibility.

At the centre of the show is the Contessa Guapatini, the larger-than-life alter ego of entertainer Paul Burnham. Combining powerhouse vocals, cheeky comedy and full-throttle drag glamour, the Contessa brings a cabaret experience that refuses to take itself too seriously. Expect show-stopping songs, razor-sharp wit, extravagant outfits and moments that might leave you wondering whether you are allowed to laugh quite that much. The humour is deliberately outrageous but never crude, with plenty of sparkle and personality thrown in for good measure.

Shows are now performed every Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday, with doors opening at 8pm and the entertainment beginning at 9pm.

• Ticket prices: Adults €20, Children (14 and Under) €15, Residents €13.50 (save over 30% on normal show tickets. Must show ID on arrival. Max 4 tickets)
• Doors Open 8pm (we advise getting there with time to spare), Show Starts 9pm, Performed in English
• Address: Ground Floor Centro Atlántico, Avenida de las Playas, Puerto Del Carmen, Lanzarote (opposite BETTY BOOPS Karaoke)

THE CONTESSA WANTS YOU!

As excitement continues to grow, Guapatini’s is also searching for a new cast member to appear alongside The Contessa in an upcoming production. The venue hopes to find a charismatic young male singer in his 20s with an excellent singing voice, stage presence and a personality capable of connecting with audiences night after night.

Those with experience across pop, musical theatre or other vocal styles are encouraged to apply, although personality remains the biggest priority. Applicants need to live in Lanzarote, be legally entitled to work in Spain and should email guapatinis2@icloud.com with information about themselves plus short videos performing both an emotional song and something lively.
