Rain and possible storms arrive on Lanzarote as AEMET issues yellow warning

It’s a wet morning on Lanzarote, as a cold, rainy weather system arrives on the Canary Islands.

Spain’s weather agency, AEMET, has issued a yellow warning for rain that will remain in effect until 6pm this evening. Rainfall of 15 mms per hour is forecast, with the possibility of showers and stormy conditions.

The forecast for Thursday is also unsettled, with sunny periods and a moderate chance of rain. Normal dry and sunny conditions will be return on Friday.
