The next edition of the Saborea Lanzarote Food and Wine Festival will now take place from March 19th to 21st, 2027, after organisers moved the event from its planned November dates due to changes in the electoral calendar.
The Cabildo have announced that the festival, which was originally scheduled for late November, will be held in March instead.
The change is intended to ensure the event has the necessary organisational and operational safeguards. Saborea Lanzarote brings together producers, wineries, restaurateurs, professionals and companies linked to the food and wine sector across Lanzarote and La Graciosa.
Cabildo president Oswaldo Betancort said: “we have determined that the most responsible decision is to move Saborea Lanzarote to March 2027. The new electoral calendar schedule affects the originally planned dates, and an event of this magnitude requires planning, coordination, and all the necessary safeguards for the sector and for the thousands of people who participate each year.”
Betancort added: “Saborea Lanzarote has become one of the major showcases for our local products and our cuisine. We want the next edition to maintain the high standard we’ve achieved and for producers, restaurateurs, wineries, and professionals to be able to prepare for it well in advance with a clear schedule.”
Saborea Lanzarote 2026 had initially been scheduled for November 28th and 29th in Teguise.
Further details about the March 2027 edition will be announced progressively in the run-up to the event.
