Puerto del Carmen’s hilarious cabaret sensation has become so popular it’s adding another weekly show.

Guapatini’s Show Bar’s combination of outrageous comedy, live vocals and fabulous drag entertainment has proved such a hit with holidaymakers that Tuesdays are now being added to the schedule after weeks of sold-out performances and lengthy waiting lists.

The Contessa Guapatini has become something of a local legend since arriving in Lanzarote.

Behind the sequins is Paul Burnham, whose career has taken him from London’s West End to television screens before creating one of the island’s most talked-about evenings of entertainment.

Every show is performed entirely live, combining musical favourites with razor-sharp comedy and constant interaction that ensures no two evenings are ever quite the same.

Having recently become the number one-rated nightlife venue on TripAdvisor in Puerto del Carmen, Guapatini’s has quickly become one of those attractions’ visitors regret missing if they leave booking until the last minute.

Now performing every Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday, the show starts at 9pm, with doors opening an hour earlier.

THE CONTESSA WANTS YOU!

As excitement continues to grow, Guapatini’s is also searching for a new cast member to appear alongside The Contessa in an upcoming production. The venue hopes to find a charismatic young male singer in his 20s with an excellent singing voice, stage presence and a personality capable of connecting with audiences night after night.

Those with experience across pop, musical theatre or other vocal styles are encouraged to apply, although personality remains the biggest priority. Applicants need to live in Lanzarote, be legally entitled to work in Spain and should email guapatinis2@icloud.com with information about themselves plus short videos performing both an emotional song and something lively.
