Registration has opened for the Playa Blanca Music Run Night, with runners set to take to the streets of the resort on Saturday, November 28th for an evening of sport, music and entertainment.
The event will feature one-mile, 5-kilometre and 10-kilometre races, with competitors running through Playa Blanca as music, lighting and entertainment provide the backdrop to what has become one of Lanzarote’s best-known festive sporting events.
Organisers are encouraging residents of Yaiza, people from across Lanzarote and visitors to take part. Registration is available through www.summitsportsevents.com.
This year’s race will also serve as the grand finale of the 2026 Canary Islands Music Run Night Series, with Playa Blanca hosting the final round that will determine the circuit’s overall standings. Provisional rankings are available on the series registration management website.
Following the success of previous editions, organisers will once again offer three race distances designed to suit participants of different ages and abilities, attracting both amateur and professional runners.
The event also includes a “Diverse” category, reserving 20 free places for people with a certified disability to encourage participation by people with varying abilities.
Race schedule
The one-mile race will begin at 9.00pm, followed by the 5km race at 9.25pm and the 10km race at 9.30pm. All three races will start and finish in the area around Plaza del Carmen.
Entry fees are €15 for the mile, €17 for the 5km race and €19 for the 10km race.
Registration remains open until Wednesday, November 25, unless the maximum field of 550 participants is reached earlier.
