Man dies after car leaves LZ-2 near Lanzarote Airport

About an hour ago

A 30-year-old man died after his car left the LZ-2 road near the airport last night.

The incident occurred just after midnight, on the hill leading from Tias to the airport zone. When emergency services arrived, other drivers were attempting to assist the driver, who had been thrown clear of his vehicle.

However, attempts to resuscitate him were fruitless.
