Yellow heat alert issued for Lanzarote on Wednesday

Spain’s meteorological agency, AEMET, has issued a yellow heat alert for Lanzarote tomorrow (Wednesday, 23^rd September).

The alert runs from 11 am to 7 pm and warns of maximum temperatures of 34 degrees Celsius, which could reach 37 degrees in localised areas, especially in the south of the island.

The heat is forecast to continue through Thursday, although no alerts have yet been issued.
