Foreign residents living in Lanzarote are being invited to apply for paid roles as extras in a television series due to be filmed on the island later this month.

The casting is being organised by Suma Content and Buendía Estudios, which are seeking men and women of all ages to take part in filming on Friday, 25th September.

According to the casting call, the production is particularly interested in British, Irish, German, Japanese and other international residents living in Lanzarote. Applicants are being sought to portray tourists as part of scenes recreating the island in the 2000s.

No acting experience is required. The casting team says it is looking for people with “authentic, distinctive and characterful looks” and “strong personalities” to help recreate the atmosphere of the period.

Participation is paid, although applicants must be legally able to work in Spain and eligible for Social Security registration.
