Man rescued after falling into sea near Playa Blanca

A 40-year-old man was saved after falling into the sea in Playa Blanca yesterday.

Emergency services were called to the coast near the Pechiguera lighthouse at 11 am and a brief search was launched involving a helicopter.

However, the man was located and managed to get out of the water on his own. He was treated for signs of hypothermia and multiple bruising and taken to the Playa Blanca health centre.
