Emergency services rescued a woman who had fallen and broken her ankle at Las Grietas, near Tías, yesterday.
The call was received at 12.45 pm, and firefighters, paramedics and local police arrived at the area, located just off the LZ-35 road.
There, the woman’s leg was splinted, and she was transported to an ambulance on a stretcher.
It is the latest of several callouts to rescue tourists after falls and leg injuries in zones such as Las Grietas, Caldera Blanca and Montaña Roja.
