Spain’s Prime Minister, Pedro Sánchez, will return to Lanzarote once again with his family for their summer holidays.
Sánchez is likely to spend at least three weeks at the Palacio de la Mareta – the “Kings House”, near Costa Teguise, which was designed by César Manrique and his friend Fernando Higueras and originally owned by King Hussein of Jordan.
It will be the latest of several summer holidays that the Sánchez family has spent on Lanzarote since the Socialist leader came to power in 2019. Sanchez’s wife, Begoña Gómez, recently had her passport confiscated after being charged with four counts of corruption by a Madrid judge.
