In a few weeks, capacity control systems should be operational at two busy carparks in Costa Teguise.
The car parking areas at the Celeste apartments and the Las Cucharas shopping centre are being fitted with cameras and other monitoring equipment that will display the number of empty and occupied parking spaces on large panels.
Information about charging points for electric vehicles will also be provided.
There is no plan to charge for parking in either area.
